Informatics Research Institute

Faculty of the School of Informatics are deeply involved in advancing the cutting edge of research. Indiana University has capitalized on its great research strengths in informatics through the formation of the Informatics Research Institute (IRI) within the School of Informatics.

The Informatics Research Institute conducts fundamental research in capturing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing information and knowledge across a wide array of application areas. The IRI researches policy and socioeconomic issues arising from information technology and informatics applied to areas such as Human Computer Interaction, Health, Medicine, Biology, Chemistry and the Fine Arts.
